Penn State will introduce the country to the 2024 U.S. Olympic Wrestling Team in April, when its hosts the team trials at the Bryce Jordan Center. The nation's top male and female wrestlers, including current and former Nittany Lions, will compete to represent the U.S. at the Summer Olympics in Paris.

From the schedule to tickets to parking, here's everything you need to know about the U.S. Olympic Trials at Penn State.

What are the U.S. Olympic Wrestling Trials?

The U.S. Olympic Wrestling Trials are the final stage of qualifying for most U.S. team members in men's freestyle, women's freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling. Currently, the U.S. team has qualified 13 of 18 weight classes for the 2024 Olympics. The trials will determine the wrestler who will represent Team USA in those weight classes.

Each class will feature a challenge series of multiple wrestlers. The winner advances to a Saturday best-of-three championship series against the weight class' automatic qualifier to the finals. The championship series winner goes to the Olympics.

Team USA still must qualify five weight classes for the Olympics: 57 and 65 kg in men's freestyle and 60, 67 and 77 kg in Greco-Roman. The winners of those championship series then must compete at a world qualifier in May in Turkey to qualify their weight class, and themselves in the process, for the Olympics.
