PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers haven't been able to rise of the eight or nine line in any bracket predictions released by major outlets this week. Instead, the different bracketologists have simply shuffled the opponents and locations of the Panthers' first round matchup.

The Athletic's Brian Bennett has the Panthers pegged as a nine seed in his latest bracket update. But his location for a potential first round game against Missouri is of note to local Pitt fans. He has them traveling to Columbus, Ohio, just about a three hour drive from Pittsburgh.

Columbus' Nationwide Arena is the closest NCAA Tournament venue to the Panthers' home city. Albany, New York and Greensboro, North Carolina - both longer than seven-hour drives from the Steel City - are the next closest.
