PITTSBURGH -- Even after a week in which the Pitt Panthers knocked off a fellow ACC bubble team in Wake Forest and a top 20-ranked Miami squad, they still sit firmly on the edge of falling out of the NCAA Tournament. The Panthers' margin for error remains slim, according to two new bracket projections.

ESPN's Joe Lunardi has Pitt in the same spot - right in the thick of his "Last Four In" - as it was in the last time he released Bracketolgy projections. This is in line with the Panthers' mostly stagnant position in the NET and KenPom ratings. They barely moved after their two wins over the past week. Kentucky, Oklahoma and rival Penn State are the other three in his "Last Four In".

Meanwhile, the Field of 68 released new projections as well. Their group of contributors - Brad Watchel, Lukas Harkins, Rocco Miller and Andy Bottoms - have the Panthers meeting Kentucky in Dayton, Ohio for one of the First Four games. Pitt would have to win the right to move on to the official first round and play Illinois if their predictions hold.
