Louis Riddick Congratulates Pitt Basketball on Magical Season
PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers' magical season came to an end following a second-round loss to Xavier in the NCAA Tournament. A year removed from finishing last in the ACC, Pitt fought their way to redemption, and some of the school's most star-studded alum are sending their congratulations.Β
ESPN analyst and former Pitt Panthers football player Louis Riddick sent his praise to the men's basketball team following the loss.Β
The Panthers entered the season predicted to finish with less than 10 ACC wins. Instead, they finished fifth with a 24-12 overall record and 14-6 conference record.Β
Pitt's tournament appearance marked the first time they've made the dance in seven years. Now, Jeff Capel looks to build on his first successful season as the Panthers coach.Β
