Pitt Basketball G Cashius McNeilly Declines to Enroll for Fall Semester
PITTSBURGH -- Pitt basketball's roster has been updated as the start of the fall semester draws near. Cashius McNeilly, a 6'4 guard who joined the Pitt Panthers this offseason after spending a last season with the Mavericks of Northern Oklahoma Community College, has opted not to enroll at Pitt this year, a spokesperson from Pitt basketball confirmed this morning.
Pitt declined to comment further on why McNeilly opted not to enroll and join the team this semester.
McNeilly, a former 2019 three-star recruit began his career at Texas A&M before moving to TCU and then Northern Oklahoma Community College, where he averaged 10 points per game. He originally committed to Maryland but backed out of his verbal pledge to the Terrapins when former head coach Mark Turgeon resigned. His departure comes before the Panthers opened official preseason practices.
