PITTSBURGH -- While he prepared to play with fellow Pitt Panthers alumni on the Zoo Crew in The Basketball Tournament, Greg Elliott promised that something big was coming and that he would find his first professional opportunity soon.

A couple of weeks later and Elliott has made good on his promise by signing with the Svendborg Rabbits of the Basketligaen, the best professional basketball division in Denmark. Eliott announced the move on Instagram.

”I can’t wait to get to Denmark and begin my professional career in front of the Rabbits fans," Elliott said. "Really excited to get the chance to build a relationship with my coaches and teammates. Can’t wait to meet everyone. Peace and love”

Two teammates from last year's NCAA Tournament squad - Nelly Cummings and Jamarius Burton - have also signed professional contracts this summer. Burton is headed to Belgium while Cummings will spend the fall in Cyprus.

He spent four years at Marquette but had the most successful season of his college career with the Panthers, averaging career-highs in points, rebounds, 3-point field goals made and attempted and shooting the second-highest percentage from deep of his career.

Elliott averaged 10.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game while making 41.6% of his 3-point shots on a career-high 5.1 attempts over 29.3 minutes per contest while adding a steady, positive presence for the Panthers from an emotional standpoint.
