PITTSBURGH -- At least two games of the Pitt Panthers' 2023-24 non-conference schedule have been officially locked in, the program announced this week.

Pitt will spend Thanksgiving week in Brooklyn competing in the NIT Season Tip-Off, playing two games against two of Baylor, Oregon State and Florida. The games will take place on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and the Friday after.

The Panthers made what became an infamous trip to Brooklyn around the same time last season. They lost both games of the Legends Classic at the Barclays Center - the first in blowout fashion to Michigan and the second in a tight contest to head coach Jeff Capel's former squad, VCU.

It wasn't a completely wasted trip, however. Pitt's players and coaches later credited those losses with helping the team come together and gear up for a strong run through the remainder of the non-conference slate and ACC play.

Specific opponents, ticket sales, tip-off times and broadcast designation will be announced at a later date, per a release from the program.
