Texans Add Former Pitt OL Jimmy Morrissey Back to Roster

The former Pitt Panthers center returns to the Houston Texans activate roster.

The Houston Texans have elevated former Pitt Panthers center Jimmy Morrissey from the practice squad to the 53-man roster, the team announced.

Morrissey, a former walk-on at Pitt, was drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He was signed to the practice squad after being released in the final round of roster cuts.

On October 19, 2021, the Texans signed Morrissey to their active roster. He proceeded to play five games, including four starts during the 2021 season.

He started the 2022 season on Houston's practice squad. He’ll play behind Scott Quessenberry at center for the Texans.
