Legacy OL Jackson Brown Commits to Pitt
PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers found a fit for one of their three open scholarships. Jackson Brown, a transfer offensive lineman from Cal, announced that he had committed to the Panthers this week.
Brown, a 6'6, 305-pound tackle from Danville, California, is also the son of former Pitt offensive lineman Tony Brown, who played for the Panthers from 1982 to 1986. Brown entered the transfer portal one week ago.
As a redshirt freshman in 2022, Brown came off the bench to appear in one game, a 41-35 loss to USC in which the Bears put up a season-high 406 passing yards.
Brown was a unanimous three-star prospect coming out of San Ramon Valley High School. He was ranked as high as the 52nd offensive tackle in the country (247Sports) and No. 39 player in California (Rivals).
