Pat Narduzzi Didn't Consider Making QB Change in Pitt's Loss to Louisville

LOUISVILLE -- As the Pitt Panthers' loss to Louisville developed, the poor quality of its quarterback play was apparent. Starter Kedon Slovis threw two costly interceptions inside of Cardinals territory a turned the ball over three times in all. His final line was 16-29 passing, 158 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions.
When asked if he considered making a change at quarterback, Pitt head coach Pat Narduzzi stuck by Slovis and said that he is still going to be the starter moving forward.
Narduzzi says changing quarterbacks wasn't considered at any point in the game.

Wide receiver Jared Wayne reaffirmed his own support for Slovis postgame as well.
"He's still our quarterback," Wayne said. "That's our guy."
Slovis battled with Patti all throughout the spring and fall camp and Narduzzi said the competition was close the whole way. Patti has been the backup ever since the season opener. Third stringer Nate Yarnell started the Western Michigan game with Slovis and Patti hampered by injury. He played well in a limited role and rode a powerful rushing attack to a blowout win on the road in his first career start.
