PITTSBURGH -- Pat Narduzzi will head down to Charlotte, North Carolina next week for ACC Media Days, one of the landmarks that signals football season is around the corner. Joining him in representing the Pitt Panthers will be three seniors and projected starters.

Cornerback M.J. Devonshire, quarterback Phil Jurkovec and offensive tackle Matt Goncalves will make the trip down south with Narduzzi as Pitt's representatives during the one-day

Goncalves has emerged as one of the Panthers' best offensive lineman after a strong 2022 campaign in which he helped fill in for Carter Warren, a starter and team captain who went down with a knee injury midway through the season. He projects as a starter at right tackle this coming season.

Devonshire will be a key piece of a three-man rotation at cornerback and, after recording the second-most punt returns of 20 yards or more in college football last season, figures to be one of the more dangerous special teamers in America once again.

Jurkovec was the biggest splash of the Pitt's offseason, transferring back to his hometown from Boston College to play his final season of college football with the Panthers. He was named the starter by Narduzzi during spring ball.
