PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have made some changes to their depth chart following their third loss of the year on the road at Louisville. Some of these changes have to do with performance, but the Panthers are also accounting for some injuries and departures.

Owen Drexel, listed as Pitt's starter at center for the entire first half of the season, is no longer on the two-deep. He's been replaced by Jake Kradel and Terrence Moore is now the backup. Drexel has not played since Week 2 but head coach Pat Narduzzi said his injury is not season-ending.

Elsewhere along the line, Branson Taylor is listed as the starter at tackle for the first time this season to replace Carter Warren, who will not play again this season, Narduzzi revealed last week. Ryan Baer is his backup there. And as Kradel moves over to center from right guard, Blake Zubovic has been elevated to first-stringer. Jason Collier Jr. now sits behind Zubovic.

Pitt also updated their receiver two-deep this week. Gavin Thompson, a 6'0 junior from Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, is the new backup at wide receiver behind Jared Wayne. It was a spot previously occupied by Jaden Bradley, who departed the team last week and intends to enter the transfer portal this winter.

On defense, Tylar Wiltz continues to earn more playing time at outside linebacker and impress his coaches and the depth chart reflects that. He's been elevated to the status of co-starter at the "star" linebacker position alongside Bangally Kamara. The super senior transfer from Missouri State had previously been Kamara's backup.

A change at punter made prior to the Louisville game is now set in stone. Cam Guess has been elevated to first-string while Sam Vander Haar, who'd handled punting duties up until the Louisville game, when he did not travel. Guess punted for the Panthers against the Cardinals.
