PITTSBURGH -- The No. 20 Pitt Panthers have started 6-0 in 2024 and are one of just 11 remaining undefeated teams in college football.

The 6-0 start is the best for the Panthers since 1982, when Hall of Famer Dan Marino played quarterback. They managed to defeat the Cal Golden Bears in a 17-15 defensive battle, contrary to their offensive displays in the first five wins.

Ohio State losing 32-31 to Oregon on the road served as the only undefeated team to lose Week 7 in the FBS.
