Pitt DT David Green Leaves Georgia Tech Game With Injury
PITTSBURGH -- On the same day some key members of the defensive line returned from injury, the Pitt Panthers lost a starting defensive tackle.
David Green, who is among the team leaders in sacks and tackles for loss, went down with an injury in the second quarter of the ACC opener vs. Georgia Tech. He walked off under his own power after being attended to by trainers.
Green has been one of the Panthers' most productive defensive linemen this season. He recorded a sack and a tackle for loss before leaving the game.
The Panthers were fortunate to get Devin Danielson back after he had missed the last two weeks with an injury. Deslin Alexandre and Habakkuk Baldonado are also back in the lineup after missing extended time with injuries of their own.
