Pitt RB Israel Abanikanda Suffers Shoulder Injury vs. Georgia Tech
PITTSBURGH -- Pitt Panthers running back Isreal Abanikanda suffered an upper-body injury in the second quarter against Georgia Tech.
Abanikanda headed to the medical tent holding his right shoulder while talking with trainers. He was evaluated but did not return to the sideline with the team.
Before his exit, Abanikanda rushed 10 times for 31 yards against the Yellow Jackets. He'll be replaced by Vincent Davis, who had five rushes for 30 yards at his time of departure.
Abanikanda led the ACC in rushing yards heading into the game. He was also named ACC Running Back of the Week twice.

UPDATE: Abanikanda returned to the sideline during the third quarter with his right arm in a sling.
