Pitt Missing Starting TE Against Boston College

The Pitt Panthers will be short a massive piece of their passing offense when they take on Boston College.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers will be down one of their biggest threats in the passing game as they take on Boston College on Senior Night.

Starting tight end Gavin Bartholomew was in a walking boot on his left foot and wearing street clothes while the Panthers went through preliminary warmups on the turf at Acrisure Stadium.

Bartholomew did not finish last weekend's contest against Syracuse after suffering a lower body injury late in the game. He went to the locker room for evaluation and reemerged on the sideline on crutches.

Bartholomew has been one of the best big play threats on the team and in the country this season. He ranks third on the team, averaging 18 yards per catch and hauling in 18 receptions for 326 yards and a touchdown in 10 games.
