Pitt's M.J. Devonshire Flashes Speed at NFL Combine
PITTSBURGH -- Pitt Panthers cornerback M.J. Devonshire has one trait that stands out above all the rest of his, especially when he is put to the test in drills at the NFL Combine.
After scouts took his measurements, Devonshire, who left Pitt with a year of eligibility remaining following two standout seasons, posted a 4.45-second 40-yard dash time that tied for the 11th fastest of any player at his position.
Devonshire checked in at 5'10 6/8 and 186 pounds. He has 32 7/8"-long arms, a hand size of 8 6/8" and a wingspan of 76 6/8". He was listed at 5'11 and 190 pounds on the Pitt roster, meaning he's dropped some weight while training following his final season with the Panthers.
Devonshire, an Aliquippa native, one-upped his breakout 2022 campaign. He set career-highs in tackles for loss (0.5), interceptions (4) and passes defended (10). He ends his Pitt career with 83 tackles. 1.5 tackles for loss and eight interceptions - one of which was the iconic “Pitt Six” that sealed a win over West Virginia.
