PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers' defense will get a major boost this week when they host No. 14 Louisville at Acrisure Stadium.

Starting linebacker Bangally Kamara, a two-year starter, has returned to the lineup after missing back-to-back games with a foot injury. He dressed and warmed up ahead of kickoff and was listed in the starting lineup prior to kickoff. The Panthers will have their full complement of linebackers healthy for the first time since the West Virginia game.

Pitt had been relying on a mix of backups - redshirt senior Brandon George and a pair of freshmen, Kyle Louis and Bryalan Lovelace - in his absence. They had played capably over the past couple of weeks but Pitt would still prefer to have its whole starting defense back.

In less than three full games this season, Kamara has registered 14 total tackles, two for a loss, one sack and a pass defended.
