PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh Panthers receiver Jordan Addison is officially in the transfer portal. Some of his teammates reacted publicly to the news, either posting messages of support for the star receiver or promises that the Panthers will not alter their expectations.

Defensive back P.J. O'Brien was one of the first to post anything on social media. His statement was simple - just a waving hand emoji.

Fellow defensive back Marquis Williams Tweeted his thoughts shortly after.

According to multiple reports, Addison will still consider a return to Pitt and multiple Panthers have said publicly that they would welcome back the star receiver with open arms. Defensive back Buddy Mack announced his support for Addison over the weekend and Rashad Battle followed suit this week.

Mack's post was re-Tweeted by quarterback Nick Patti and wide receiver Konata Mumpfield, a transfer himself who arrived at Pitt this spring after spending a year at Akron.

Senior defensive end John Morgan got out in front of the official announcement. When rumors of Addison's intent to transfer first surfaced this past weekend, Morgan guaranteed that Pitt would win another ACC championship.

Pitt's other highest-profile 2022 transfer, quarterback Kedon Slovis, posted a picture of himself from the spring game with the caption "Culture wins" a day after Morgan spoke on Twitter.
