Former Pitt G Making Third Transfer
PITTSBURGH -- Former Pitt Panthers point guard Femi Odukale is on the move once again, looking for a place to wrap up his college career.
Odukale is back in the transfer portal for a third time in his long career, which began back in 2020 with Pitt. He's made stops at Seton Hall and New Mexico over the past two years and is moving on once more as he enters his senior year.
Odukale spent two years at Pitt after arriving in 2020 as a member of Panthers head coach Jeff Capel's second recruiting class. He started in 33 of the 53 games he played in, including 28 of the 31 he played in 2021.
He struggled with turnovers and 3-point shooting at times -- his career 1.28 assist-to-turnover ratio and 33% clip from distance prove as much -- but he was still a capable player for the Panthers. The 6-foot-5 guard averaged 10.8 points, 3.4 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game during the 2021-22 season as one of Pitt's lead ball-handlers.
Odukale averaged 7.3 points and 4.4 rebounds per game while shooting 43% from the floor after transferring to Seton Hall for a season. He transferred again to New Mexico State to play this past season and posted per game averages of 10.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3 assists. Now he's looking for a new home one more time.
