PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers and the rest of the ACC will gather at league headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina this week ahead of the start of the 2023-24 college basketball season.

The Panthers will be represented by a pair of their wily veterans - super senior forward Blake Hinson and graduate transfer guard Ishmael Leggett - alongside head coach Jeff Capel at the event, the team announced this week.

Hinson is fresh off a 2022-23 season in which he earned second-team All-ACC honors after leading the team in both scoring and rebounding as they returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in seven years. Teammates and coaches have him pegged as the undisputed primary leader and best player for Pitt this season.

Leggett is a prolific scorer and lead guard who is making the leap up to the upper echelon of college basketball this season after averaging 16.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.4 steals per game during the 2022-23 season with Rhode Island.
