Pitt Without Five Players for Georgia Tech Game

The Pitt Panthers will miss five players in Week 5.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers will be without five players as they take on Georgia Tech in Week 5. 

Pitt will not have left tackle Carter Warren, running back Rodney Hammond, quarterback Nick Patti, defensive end Dayon Hayes or center Owen Drexel against the Yellow Jackets. All four players are not dressed for the game. 

Warren's injury is believed to have occurred this week but the details are currently unknown. Branson Taylor will start at left tackle in Warren's place.

Hammond suffered an ankle injury in Week 1 and has not returned to the field. Patti was hurt the following week against Tennessee. He warmed up before the game but did not dress. 

Hayes suffered a reported knee injury during the practice week before Western Michigan. He did not travel with the team and has not dressed since. 

Drexel has sat since Week 2 with a leg injury.
