Pitt LB Misses Second Straight Road Trip

The Pitt Panthers will be thin at linebacker for another week.

SOUTH BEND -- The Pitt Panthers will get some reinforcements in time for their date with No. 14 Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana but will be down a reserve at the same position.

Redshirt freshman linebacker Kyle Louis, a key reserve for the Panthers as they battle a handful of injuries at that position, did not travel for the second consecutive week. He's "banged up" according to head coach Pat Narduzzi.

The good news for the Panthers is that true freshman linebacker Braylan Lovelace is back in the fold after missing the Wake Forest game with an undisclosed injury. Solomon DeShields, who was knocked out of last week's game on the opening kickoff, was listed on the travel roster ahead of kickoff.

Just how many snaps - if any - Lovelace and DeSheilds play is an open question.

Pitt's full travel roster is listed below.
