PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers are undertaking a transformative development project on campus in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The Victory Heights project will add a massive facility right next door to the Petersen Events Center and help bridge upper and lower campus.

Pitt Athletic Director Heather Lyke said she expects the bulk of the project - a multi-purpose sports performance facility that will service all of the school's non-football and basketball programs and an arena to house gymnastics, volleyball and wrestling - to be completed by fall 2025.

Lyke and the athletic department shared some renderings of the facility, which will have practice gyms, weight rooms, sports medicine rooms, coach offices, film rooms, team meeting rooms, a student lounge, a 3,600-seat arena, equipment room and much more.
