PITTSBURGH -- Pitt Panthers wideout Bub Means has been rapidly rising up draft boards since his impressive showing at the NFL Combine last month and, after posting more strong numbers at his Pro Day, will have meetings keeping him busy while he waits for draft day.

Means, a two-time transfer from Louisiana Tech and Tennessee who spent the final two seasons of his college career at Pitt, told reporters following his Pro Day workout at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex that he would hold meetings with the Arizona Cardinals and the Las Vegas Raiders over Zoom in the lead up to the NFL Draft at the end of April.

Means is considered a fast-rising prospect because of his athleticism and increasingly refined receiver skills. He's just three years into his career as a wideout, making the position switch when he transferred to Louisiana Tech in 2021.

Means caught just 68 passes for 1,122 yards and eight touchdowns over the last two seasons with the Panthers, the second-highest yardage total of any Pitt pass-catcher over that span. He came on strong, particularly over the final two thirds of the 2023 season. He did deal with some subpar quarterback play at times, but those numbers still put him behind the other top wide receivers in his class in terms of production.

He made up for it with outstanding testing numbers in Indianapolis, Indiana. Means moved well, especially for someone at his size. He has speed and strong hands that is has clearly been intriguing to scouts as he goes through a pre-draft gauntlet.
