PITTSBURGH -- Former Pitt Panthers safety Damar Hamlin was back in his hometown of Pittsburgh this week to train for the coming NFL season and visit his old college program as they hosted spring practices and Pro Day.

But Hamlin had to deal with some drama on social media stirred up by former Steelers receiver Antonio Brown while he was enjoying sometime at his hometown and back at Pitt. Brown made a joke about Hamlin having died and been replaced by a clone, which Hamlin understandably took offense to.

"You just DM me on Monday?" Hamlin responded on Twitter. "guess you playing lame games on twitter with my situation because I ain’t DM you back. I pray God don’t ever let me turn into a burnt out old head like you.. I used to look up to you damn near shit sad frfr. Talk bout a clone bring the real AB back!"

Hamlin clearly has some sympathy for Brown, who has found himself embroiled in scandal after scandal since leaving Pittsburgh, but doesn't feel bad for him after Brown made light of a conspiracy theory about Hamlin publicly.

"Been in my DM over a year talking to yourself. You was supposed to be an example setter. Now you the biggest weirdo we know! Get off twitter & go do some work with some kids or something. #PrayForAB"
