Pitt Football Spring Game: 15 Players Ruled Out
PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have some players who will not make apperances in the Spring Game at Acrisure Stadium.
Freshman defensive lineman Francis Brewu did not dress for the game, coming in as questionable during the Spring Draft.
Redshirt junior Elliot Donald, redshirt senior/walk-on Will King and redshirt freshman Isaiah "Ghost" Neal will serve as the defensive tackles for the Gold team. Important to note that Neal is playing for both teams during the Spring Game, with injuries at defensive tackle.
Linebackers in fifth-year Solomon DeShields, sophomore Jordan Bass and sixth-year Keye Thompson, redshirt freshman defensive lineman Zachary Crother, along with defensive backs in redshirt freshmen Cruce Brookins and Shadarian Harrison, plus fifth-year Tamon Lynum will also not play in the Spring Game on defense, as head coach Pat Narduzzi announced their absences during the Draft.
Senior running back Rodney Hammond, wide receivers in junior Censere "C.J." Lee, redshirt junior Raphael "Poppi" Williams Jr. and redshirt sophomore Che Nwabuko, plus offensive linemen in redshirt juniors in Dorien Ford and Terrence Moore, redshirt senior Branson Taylor also came into the Spring Game out due to injury.
