PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have locked in on another transfer big man from inside the ACC that could help them replace Federiko Federiko, who entered the transfer portal last month.

The Panthers are taking the recruitment of former Florida State center Cam Corhen to its next step, inviting him to campus for an official visit, according to college basketball recruiting insider, Derek Murray. His visit is reportedly scheduled for next weekend, one week before Louisville transfer Brandon Huntley-Hatfield is expected to come to town.

Corhen, a rishing junior, spent two seasons at Florida State. He was unanimously considered a four-star recruit in the class of 2022 by all four of the major recruiting services. The Allen, Texas native played his high school ball at Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas and was considered the No. 4 player in the state by On3 and 247 Sports. On3 had him pegged as the No. 13 center in his class and ESPN ranked him as high as the No. 68 overall player in the country coming out of high school.

At Florida State, Corhen quickly assumed starting center duties and averaged 8.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. Despite starting fewer games the following year, Corhen improved on his numbers, averaginh 9.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per appearance while shooting 63% from the field.

As it stands right now, the Panthers have four open scholarships to work with after the departures of Bub Carrington, Blake Hinson, Will Jeffress, Federiko and KJ Marshall and the addition of true freshmen Brandin Cummings and Amdy Ndiaye.
