PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have continued to add talent from the Sunshine State this offseason. The 2023 recruiting class, bolstered by the recent addition of three-star receiver and former Miami Hurricane pledge Lamar Seymore, the Panthers boast six verbal commitments from Floridians, more than any other state.

Investment in the talent-rich state of Florida has been a focus of head coach Pat Narduzzi's recruiting strategy ever since he arrived. He's benefited greatly from the work of defensive line coach Charlie Partridge, who's been heralded as an expert at recruiting players from Florida.

This strategy has paid dividends for the Panthers. Former stars like Rashad Weaver, Keyshon Camp, Damarri Mathis and Shocky Jaques-Louis have played big roles on successful teams of the past and current defensive starters Marquis Williams, Deslin Alexandre, Calijah Kancey and Brandon Hill all helped deliver an ACC Championship to the Steel City last season.
