The Pitt Panthers are interested in the No. 1 player in Virginia.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have had their eye on a four-star prospect from Virginia's 2025 class and this week, made their interest tangible by extending a scholarship offer.

Nate Ament, a blue-chip small forward from Manassas, Virginia and Colgan High School, earned another Division I offer from Jeff Capel and Pitt late last week.

Ament currently holds other offers from Penn State, Creighton, Iowa, LSU, Virginia, Providence, Maryland, Illinois, George Washington, VCU, Old Dominion, St. Joseph's, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Charleston, George Mason and NJIT.

Each of those schools contacted Ament following the end of the dead period in July.

He's unanimously considered the No. 1 player in Virginia's 2025 class. Ament is also ranked as high as the No. 3 small forward and No. 23 overall prospect in the class of 2025.
