How to Watch No. 1 Purdue Basketball at Northwestern on Sunday

No. 1 Purdue (23-2, 12-2 Big Ten) heads to Evanston, Ill., for a road matchup against Northwestern (17-7, 8-5) at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday inside Welsh-Ryan Arena. Here's how to watch the game, with all your TV information, top scorers, coaching bios and more.

EVANSTON, Ill. — After getting back in the win column, No. 1 Purdue basketball embarks on its final stretch of road matchups for the regular season with a matchup against Northwestern on Sunday. 

The Boilermakers enter the game with a 7-1 record on the road. A win over the Wildcats would give them their 10th quadrant one victory of the season and improve the team to 8-1 on the road, matching the most wins in hostile environments in a year since 1996. 

Northwestern is coming off a 69-63 win over Ohio State on Thursday. The Wildcats are led by senior guard Boo Buie, who averages a team-high 16.2 points per game so far this season.

The Wildcats finished 12th in the conference, and their season ended with a 112-76 loss to Iowa in the Big Ten Tournament

Meet the coaches

Matt Painter, Purdue: Painter is in his 18th season as the head coach of Purdue basketball. He owns a 407-194 overall record with the program, including a 206-117 mark in the Big Ten. With a 73-55 win over Nebraska on Jan. 13, Painter became just the fifth coach in Big Ten history with 400 career wins while at a conference school, joining Bob Knight, Tom Izzo, Gene Keady and Lou Henson.

Painter began his head coaching career at Southern Illinois, leading the team atop the Missouri Valley Conference with a 25-5 overall record during the 2003-04 season, dropping only one game in league matchups.

Chris Collins, Northwestern: Collins is in his 10th season at the helm for the Wildcats and has compiled an overall record of 148-157, including a 62-118 mark in Big Ten play. He took Northwestern to its first-ever NCAA Tournament during the 2016-17 season. The Wildcats earned a No. 8 seed and defeated Vanderbilt 68-66 in the Round of 64 before losing to No. 1 seed Gonzaga. 

Under Collins, Northwestern has finished 9th or worse in the Big Ten in eight of his first nine seasons. Collins was an assistant for the Detroit Shock for one season and Seton Hall for three seasons before working as an assistant for Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski from 2000-13. Collins also played for Krzyzewski at Duke from 1992-96.
