How to Watch No. 3 Purdue Basketball at Maryland on Thursday
COLLEGE PARK, Md. — No. 3 Purdue basketball is on the road for the third time in the last four games on Thursday, taking on Maryland at 6:30 p.m. ET inside the Xfinity Center.
The two teams met for the first time this season on Jan. 22 at Mackey Arena, where the Boilermakers came away with a 58-55 win at Mackey Arena. This time, they will look to steal a victory against a Terrapins squad that, when playing at home, is 13-1 overall and undefeated against Big Ten opponents.
"They've been one of the best teams in the country at home," Purdue head coach Matt Painter said. "UCLA beat them in nonconference, and nobody in-conference has beat them. I think they're tough as nails. We barely beat them on our home court, so I think that speaks for itself."

- AP poll: Purdue fell to No. 3 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 college basketball poll following its most recent loss to Northwestern on the road. Maryland is unranked but was among five Big Ten teams that earned votes.
- KenPom rankings: Purdue is No. 4 overall in the KenPom rankings as of Wednesday. Maryland is ranked No. 23 overall out of 363 teams.
- Last season's records: Purdue was 29-8 overall, including a 14-6 mark in Big Ten play. The team defeated Yale and Texas in the NCAA Tournament before losing to Saint Peter's 67-64 in the Sweet 16. Maryland went 15-17 and 7-13 in the conference.
- Series history: Purdue leads the all-time series against Maryland with an 8-5 record, but the Terrapins have won three straight at home. Of the 13 previous games played, six came down to a single possession with three being by a single point. Just two of the games have been decided by double-digits.

Meet the coaches
Matt Painter, Purdue: Painter is in his 18th season as the head coach of Purdue basketball. He owns a 407-195 overall record with the program, including a 206-118 mark in the Big Ten. With a 73-55 win over Nebraska on Jan. 13, Painter became just the fifth coach in Big Ten history with 400 career wins while at a conference school, joining Bob Knight, Tom Izzo, Gene Keady and Lou Henson.
Painter began his head coaching career at Southern Illinois, leading the team atop the Missouri Valley Conference with a 25-5 overall record during the 2003-04 season, dropping only one game in league matchups.
Kevin Willard, Maryland: Willard is in his first season at the helm for the Terrapins. He spent the last 12 years at Seton Hall, earning a 225-161 overall record with the Pirates.
Willard also spent three years as the head coach of Iona after serving as an assistant coach under Rick Pitino in the NBA with the Boston Celtics and in the college ranks at Louisville.
