8:57 p.m. ET, FINAL — Purdue 87, Iowa 73

8:50 p.m. ET — A huge 3-pointer from Fletcher Loyer gives Purdue an 83-69 lead with just over a minute to play. Looks to be the dagger at this point.

8:48 p.m. ET — Caleb Furst gets a double-double for the game on his last shot, which came after an offensive rebound. He's a perfect 5-of-5 from the field with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

8:42 p.m. ET, UNDER 4 — Been a while since Braden Smith got a shot to fall. He creates space on the baseline for a reverse layup, bringing his scoring total to 24 points. Purdue on a 6-0 run and leads Iowa 76-64 with 3:03 left to play.

8:37 p.m. ET — Zach Edey throws it down to get Purdue's lead back to double-digits. The Boilermakers lead 74-64 with 4:16 left to play. Edey has 10 points, 11 rebounds and four assists.

8:35 p.m. ET — Zach Edey goes fast in the paint and gets a bucket for Purdue, which snapped a scoring drought of more than two minutes. The team had four turnovers in that same span.

8:34 p.m. ET — Scratching my head at Zach Edey's decision not to go up with the ball after coming down with an offensive rebound. Instead, he turns the ball over and gives Iowa another chance to cut into Purdue's lead.

8:29 p.m. ET, UNDER 8 — Iowa cuts Purdue's lead to just eight points with 7:10 left to go. The Hawkeyes are 17-of-22 from the floor in the second half after the Boilermakers led by as many as 21 points.

8:27 p.m. ET — Purdue and Iowa have been trading baskets seemingly all second half. Zach Edey hits on a pair of free throws to register his first points of the period.

8:17 p.m. ET, UNDER 12 — Fletcher Loyer gets a shot to fall off the glass through a foul, and Purdue leads Iowa 61-43 at the under-12 media timeout. Loyer has 13 points on 6-of-15 shooting and is doing a good job getting to the rim.

8:11 p.m. ET, UNDER 16 — Purdue is getting plenty of perimeter shots as Iowa continues to take Zach Edey out of the offensive equation. The Boilermakers are 9-of-23 from the 3-point line and have a 57-39 lead with 13:06 left to go.

8:08 p.m. ET — Braden Smith has scored or assisted on all 15 of Purdue's second-half points. He's scored the last 12 for the Boilermakers. He's up to 22 points on 7-of-8 shooting with more than 14 minutes still to play.

8:05 p.m. ET — Braden Smith adds another 3-pointer to his scoring total. He's got three triples on the night and Purdue is stretching a huge lead in the early minutes of the second half.

Smith has a team-high 17 points and has scored the last seven points for the Boilermakers.

8:03 p.m. ET — Braden Smith has Kris Murray defending him to start the second half. The freshman point guard does a good job to beat the Iowa press and eventually finds Ethan Morton for an open 3-pointer in the corner.

7:44 p.m. ET — Braden Smith breaks down the Iowa defense before the first-half buzzer, getting a floater to fall to give Purdue a 38-21 advantage at the break. The Boilermakers end the opening period on a 9-2 run to take their largest lead of the game.

Smith had 10 points in the first half to lead all scorers. Mason Gillis had eight with Fletcher Loyer and Caleb Furst each scoring seven.

7:43 p.m. ET — Purdue isn't shooting particularly great from deep, but it's still 6-of-17 compared to 1-of-10 by Iowa. Caleb Furst is perfect from the field in the first half, with seven points to go along with six rebounds.

7:40 p.m. ET — Great ball movement from Purdue on its last possession. The play eventually gets to Caleb Furst underneath the basket, and he finishes strong to extend the lead to 12 points. On the next trip down the court, Fletcher Loyer fires a cross-court pass to Furst on the money, and he drills a corner 3-pointer.

7:34 p.m. ET, UNDER 4 — Purdue leads Iowa 29-19 with 3:50 left before halftime. Zach Edey called for a foul just before the media timeout. He's just 2-of-5 from the field but has pulled down a game-high seven rebounds so far.

7:32 p.m. ET — Iowa on a scoring drought of more than three minutes, and Purdue is keeping a tight hold on its double-digit lead for now. We've seen the Boilermakers give up strong runs at the end of the first half before, and they will look to finish strong with just over four minutes left before halftime.

7:19 p.m. ET, UNDER 8 — Mason Gillis gets a 3-pointer to fall, and he now has a team-high eight points to give Purdue a 27-17 lead with 7:44 left before halftime. Trey Kaufman-Renn getting some quality minutes down low with Zach Edey on the bench.

7:15 p.m. ET — Heavy focus on defending Zach Edey for Iowa so far, and Purdue is taking advantage with shots on the perimeter. Mason Gillis is the latest Boilermaker to knock down a triple, and the team is 4-of-6 from deep to start the game.

7:11 p.m. ET — Iowa scored the first basket of the game after a Purdue turnover, but the Boilermakers have since gone on a 15-2 run. They are 6-of-10 from the field to start the game.

7:08 p.m. ET, UNDER 16 — Braden Smith draws a ton of attention at the basket and is able to find Fletcher Loyer for an easy 3-pointer. On Purdue's next possession, Caleb Furst gets a shot to fall through a foul. The Boilermakers lead 15-4 with 14:41 left in the first half.

7:06 p.m. ET — Fletcher Loyer gets to the basket to tie things up in the first two minutes. Purdue already has an offensive rebound, which led to the basket. On the next possession, Loyer gets another basket to drop.

Iowa struggling to find rhythm opportunities in the early goings, and Braden Smith has taken advantage by knocking down a pair of 3-pointers. The Boilermakers have a 10-2 lead already.
