Purdue Remains No. 5 in AP Top 25 College Basketball Poll
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Following a 79-71 loss to rival Indiana on Saturday at Mackey Arena, Purdue kept its ranking as the No. 5 team in the country in the latest Associated Press Top 25 college basketball poll, which was released on Monday.
The Boilermakers are 24-5 overall with a 13-5 record against Big Ten competition. The team has two games left to play, starting with a road matchup against Wisconsin on Thursday at the Kohl Center in Madison before returning home for the regular-season finale against Illinois.
Purdue and No. 15 Indiana were joined by Maryland in this week's rankings, which came in at No. 21 after a 75-59 rout of Northwestern on Sunday at the Xfinity Center in College park. The Wildcats also received votes.
The Boilermakers and the Badgers are scheduled to tip off at 9 p.m. ET on Thursday, and the game will be televised on FS1.
