Freshman wide receiver David Bell earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the second consecutive week due to his performance in Saturday’s 26-20 loss to Iowa.

Bell, who set career highs in touchdowns, yards, and catches in the game the week prior against Maryland, topped two of those marks in the defeat at Iowa. He caught 13 passes for 197 yards - both career-highs - and one touchdown. It was Bell’s second consecutive week topping the 100 yard mark, and the most receiving yards in a game by a freshman in school history.
