With the Purdue women's basketball season concluding in the Great Eight of the NIT on Monday, senior guard Jeanae Terry has announced her future plans. She will attempt to continue her basketball career in the WNBA.

Terry, who spent two years at Illinois before playing the last three seasons at Purdue, was a do-it-all guard for the Boilermakers. Although she only averaged 5.1 points per game, she was a quintessential piece for the team's success under coach Katie Geralds.

During the 2023-24 campaign, Terry averaged 8.4 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 2.0 steals per contest. Purdue ended the year with a 15-19 record, falling 67-59 to Vermont on Monday night in Mackey Arena.

"I want to thank the Boilermaker family for welcoming me and coming out every night and showing me tremendous love," Terry wrote on a post on X. "Thank you Coach Geralds for giving me an opportunity to show my talents on the court and let me play my game. Putting on a Purdue jersey meant so much to me and I know I have a forever family as a Boilermaker.

"As I reminisce on my career thus far and all the great things I have accomplished it has been amazing to see my growth. I wanted to leave a legacy that showed people to trust the process and always believe in yourself. In these five years I was able to experience things I only dreamed of. With that being said, I will be declaring for the WNBA Draft. As I look to my future, and continue this journey, I am excited to see what God has set out for me."

Over the course of her three seasons in West Lafayette, Terry averaged 7.6 rebounds, 6.2 points, 6.0 assists and 1.9 steals per game. In those three years, Purdue has made two NIT appearances (2022 and 2024) and played in the NCAA Tournament (2023).

The 2024 WNBA Draft is scheduled for Monday, April 15.
