SI All-American Josh Christopher Commits to Arizona State
It’s debatable who’s in the top spot among guards around the country, but when it comes to most entertaining high school basketball player in the country, well, Josh Christopher wins in a landslide.
On Monday, high school basketball’s most lively social media star announced that he’d take the show to Tempe next season and suit up for Arizona State.

Christopher, a shooting guard at Mayfair (Lakewood), picked the the Sun Devils over Michigan, Missouri, USC and UCLA. He made his decision at 8:24 p.m. PT in honor of Kobe Bryant.
Christopher will join his older brother, Caleb, who just completed his freshman season with the Sun Devils.
This past season, Christopher solidified himself as one of the country’s top scoring guards, averaging 29.2 points, eight rebounds, 3.9 assists and 3.1 steals per game for the Monsoons. Christopher managed the high point total despite playing in the backcourt with another elite scoring guard in Syracuse commit Dior Johnson (25 ppg.).
Christopher has great size (6-foot-5) and elite athleticism with efficient scoring ability on all three levels. His motor remains in overdrive and he guards multiple positions using his 6-foot-9 wingspan.

The best part about Christopher’s game is his mentality; he plays like an unranked player trying to make a name for himself every time he touches the floor.
At Arizona State, Christopher will join a talented backcourt that includes Alonzo Verge and potentially Remy Martin, who has declared for the NBA Draft but is expected to ultimately return.
Christopher joins Sheldon (Sacramento, Calif.) wing Marcus Bagley to form the Sun Devils' 2020 haul.
