DePaul Lands Four-Star Wing Keon Edwards

Dave Leitao and his staff land another four-star prospect in the 2021 class.

DePaul coach Dave Leitao continued his hot streak in the 2021 class, landing a commitment from Hillcrest Prep (Phoenix) wing Keon Edwards on Monday.

Edwards took an official visit to DePaul this past weekend. He committed to the Blue Demons over Florida State, TCU, Pittsburgh and Maryland.

Edwards transferred to Hillcrest last summer after Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.) shut down its basketball program.

In Edwards, Leitao is getting a long and wiry scorer on all three levels, but, especially from the perimeter.

Edwards can fill it up from deep and keeps the defense off balance with his ability to penetrate into the lane and finish efficiently.

Edwards is the Blue Demons’ second commitment from the 2021 class, joining Simeon (Chicago) shooting guard Ahamad Bynum, also a four-star prospect.
