Auburn Signee Sharife Cooper Becomes School's All-Time Leading Scorer
McEachern (Powder Springs, Ga.) point guard Sharife Cooper has won multiple Player of the Year awards, including Offensive Player of the Year in the Nike EYBL. He also won a state title after leading the Indians to an undefeated season last year.
Now he’s added another accolade to his resume: McEachern's all-time leading scorer.

According to McEachern, Cooper, an Auburn signee, became the school's all-time leading scorer, eclipsing the 2,000-point mark on senior night.
“I had no idea that I had that many points until senior night,” Cooper said. "It's surreal."

“I never thought I’d be in that position," Cooper said. "I just do what needs to be done for my team.”
This season that’s meant more scoring after Cooper returned as the team’s only starter from last year’s state title squad.
Cooper is averaging 32 points, eight assists, eight rebounds and two steals a game.
“It’s great to be in that conversation, but I’m just trying to win,” Cooper said. “That’s it. It’s the only thing I care about. I’m gonna do whatever it takes for my team to win; that’s just how I’m built.”
