Quarterback Jeff Sims Announces for Georgia Tech
Consensus four-star Jeff Sims is headed to Georgia Tech.
Sims, a 6-foot-3, 205-pound quarterback from Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville, Fla., announced his intentions to sign with the Yellow Jackets Wednesday morning.
Sims chose Georgia Tech over Maryland on the first day of the Early Signing Period. He also considered offers from Florida State, Boston College and numerous others.

Georgia Tech struggled in head coach Geoff Collins' first season on the flats. The transition from Paul Johnson to Collins was never going to be a smooth one as Collins brought the Yellow Jackets out from a decade of running Johnson's option offense.
Redshirt freshman James Graham took the most snaps for the Jackets in 2019, but only completed 45.1% of his passes. Sims will compete with another recruit Tucker Gleason to try and improve Georgia Tech's 123rd-ranked passing offense.
