Clemson Commit Korey Foreman is a Monster
Korey Foreman (6'4/265) of Corona Centennial (Calif.) is a versatile prospect who lines up across the line of scrimmage in multiple positions for his Husky team. Foreman committed to the Clemson Tigers in January.
He's most comfortable at defensive end, but he can be seen at tackle and as a stand up outside linebacker depending on scheme. Foreman has elite lateral quickness and has a bounce to his first step that lets him get inside or outside of his blocker with relative ease. He has a good motor and makes a lot of secondary plays as he chases down ball carriers laterally.
Any time a player of this caliber is being discussed, elite size and athleticism is to be expected. However Foreman is a technician on the defensive line. One of the aspects of his game that shows so prominently is his ability to stand up his blocker, read the play, and quickly disengage. He's so strong that when he uses his hands to separate himself from a lineman, he's usually throwing the lineman to the ground, or at the very least, several feet away from him.
Foreman has all of the tools to continue Clemson's recent tradition of dominating defensive lineman. The Tigers have been selected to the College Football Playoff the last five years, and defenders like Foreman are a big reason. Clemson's emergence as a National program over the last decade under Dabo Swinney has allowed the Tigers to go coast to coast to get commitments from players like Foreman out of California.
