Consensus 5-Star Wide Receiver Rakim Jarrett Flips from LSU to Maryland
Rakim Jarrett De-Commits From LSU, Commits to Maryland
In possibly the biggest surprise of Early Signing Day, consensus 5-star wide receiver Rakim Jarrett has flipped his commitment from LSU to Maryland. Jarrett committed to the Maryland Terpins Wednesday, December 18th announcing his "flip" via Twitter.
Jarrett, a 6-foot, 208-pound wideout from St. John's College High in Washington D.C., visited Maryland officially two weeks ago. Jarrett caught 11 touchdown passes as a senior this season.
Maryland head coach Mike Locksley was able to earn the hometown Jarrett's commitment, convincing the receiver to stay in the D.C. area. St. John's College High is less than 10 miles away from the University of Maryland and was the top-ranked team in the state in 2019.
