Later tonight, the best players in the WNBA will take the floor for the league's annual All-Star game, and three former Gamecocks will participate in the festivities. Last year's MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, and a member of the champion Las Vegas Aces, A'ja Wilson, won't just be a starter for the game, but she's also the captain of her team.

Starting alongside Wilson, Aliyah Boston will be partaking in her first-ever All-Star game and is the first rookie since 2014 that's starting in the game. Boston has taken the league by storm in her rookie campaign, averaging 15.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game while shooting an efficient 61 percent from the floor over 20 games.

The last Gamecock to watch for tonight is another former member of South Carolina's National Championship squad 2017, Allisha Gray, who also is on A'ja Wilson's team but won't be a starter. Gray, who was traded to the Atlanta Dream this offseason, has put together a career year in 2023, as she's currently averaging 18.2 points, 3.2 assists, and 5.1 rebounds per game, with the first two marks on pace to set career highs for the Georgia native.
