We're just eight days away from Shane Beamer and the South Carolina Gamecocks kicking off the 2023 season against the North Carolina Tar Heels in Charlotte. With most teams beginning their season this next weekend, everyone is starting to roll out predictions for what they think will happen this Fall.

One group that's been rolling out a ton of predictions this week has been the media group Crain & Company of Daily Wire. This group includes Jake Crain, David Cone, and Blaine Crain, all people who have been involved in the sport of college football as either a player or a coach. On their Friday show, the guys went through their predictions for the SEC, and Jake came up with a Final record prediction of 5-7 for the Gamecocks, winning three SEC games. Based on his quick comments, Crain seems to believe that Carolina won't be able to replicate the magic they had at the end of last season.

"I don't think they're gonna pull a rabbit out of their hat against Clemson at the end of the year this year, and Tennessee's gonna be thirteen flavors of pissed off after what happened last year," Crain exclaimed.

Jake would later state that he has South Carolina knocking off Furman, Vanderbilt, Jacksonville State, Missouri, and Florida. While the Gamecocks schedule is unquestionably difficult, Shane Beamer has proven to have a knack for getting his team ready for Top 25 opponents and becoming a much tougher out by season's end.
