Physical and grueling have been used to describe the Gamecocks' Summer strength and conditioning program and Fall camp practices. While that's built up a certain level of mental and physical toughness in South Carolina's Football, it also may or may not have led to some notable Gamecocks suffering injuries in the process.

When he met with the media on Tuesday, head coach Shane Beamer said while some guys might be listed as questionable next week for the North Carolina game, the staff is "expecting all those guys to play," including tight end Trey Knox, and wide receivers Antwane "Juice" Wells, and Nyckoles Harbor.

In a separate exchange, Beamer made it abundantly clear that Trey Knox will play, as he's been practicing with the team for the last week and participated in Scrimmage No. 2 this past Saturday. Knox tweaked his knee around two weeks ago, according to Shane, but besides missing a couple of practices has been full-go.

Grayson "Pup" Howard was one of the players spotted by the media wearing a blue non-contact jersey in the open portion of practice this past Thursday, but per Shane Beamer's comments, he was not wearing a blue non-contact jersey in today's practice, and is good to go for week one.

Speaking of blue jerseys, defensive end Tyreek Johnson has been wearing one since the start of Fall camp and is still battling an injury as of this moment, as Johnson did not participate in Wednesday's practice but is expected to be back in practice very soon. Beamer categorized Tyreek as being "probable" for the North Carolina game.

Now for the two names Gamecock fans are asking about the most, Juice Wells and Nyck Harbor. Beamer did give a positive update on Antwane, stating that while he didn't practice today, he was "running around today and catching some balls and doing some light jogging," and when asked if he expects Juice and Nyck both to play this next Saturday, Shane said "Absolutely."
