Injuries are an inherent part of American football, one of the most physical and violent sports on the planet. The toughest part about injuries, besides the injuries themselves, is that some teams deal with a higher volume of them compared to others, and that's been the case for Shane Beamer and the South Carolina Gamecocks in 2023.

Almost every week this season, Beamer has had to talk about the initial prognosis of a player who got hurt the previous day or within the past two weeks, but tonight, the tone surrounding the injury report was much more positive. No player who took a snap in the Kentucky game will miss this week's bout against Clemson, and the Gamecocks could get multiple players back from long-term ailments, including Dakereon Joyner, Trai Jones, Cason Henry, Jaxon Hughes and Antwane "Juice" Wells.

You read that last name correctly. There's a chance, as Beamer put it during his Sunday night teleconference call, that Juice Wells could play in the Palmetto Bowl. The preseason All-SEC selection practiced with the team this past Tuesday and has been slowly working his way back from a injury that he suffered against Georgia back in week three. Whether or not he's able to go will remain to be seen as this week progresses.
