Gamecock OL Nick Gargiulo Accepts Invite To Hula Bowl
The South Carolina Gamecocks dealt with a plethora of issues along the offensive line in 2023. Between inconsistent play, having to throw two true freshmen into the starting lineup early in the season, and an abnormally high amount of injuries, the unit was mired in instability this past Fall.
One player, however, who served as one of the lone pillars of stability in this group was Yale graduate transfer Nick Gargiulo. Between his positional versatility, and proven leadership and experience he exuded both with the media and on the field, there's no telling what this group would've looked like without the help of the New York native. That combination of skill, versatility and on-field intangibles is why Gargiulo received an invite to play in the Hula Bowl, one he accepted on Tuesday.
Gargiulo is the fourth known Gamecock who's participating in a college all-star game over the next six weeks, with Spencer Rattler and Xavier Legette playing in the Reese's Senior Bowl and Marcellas Dial playing in the East-West Shrine Bowl. The Hula Bowl will take place on January 13th.
