With the Summer fully underway, the logistical details for college football programs' upcoming Fall schedules are slowly trickling out. For instance, South Carolina's Football team has already learned that they'll be playing the first SEC on CBS game of the season in week three against the Georgia Bulldogs, which will be kicking off at 3:30 pm ET on CBS.

On Wednesday afternoon, Gamecock fans learned more details regarding the season's first two games against North Carolina in Charlotte and Furman in Columbia, as both games will kick off at 7:30 pm ET.

For their matchup against North Carolina, South Carolina will travel to Charlotte to play the game in Bank of America Stadium and get a primetime slot on ABC. The Gamecocks have fond memories of their last matchup in the venue, which took place in the 2021 Duke's Mayo Bowl, ironically against the Tar Heels, whom Carolina dismantled 38-21.

In a bit of a surprise, the Gamecocks will be getting to play the Furman Paladins at night with another 7:30 pm kickoff. That game will be broadcasted on SEC Network Plus and ESPN+, continuing the transition the Disney-owned company is making from live cable broadcasts to live streaming apps.

This will kickstart a crucial stretch of games in September laden with tenacious opponents, which South Carolina will have to conquer more often than not if they want to progress in the win-loss column again in 2023.
