Taylor Stallworth Is signing with the Panthers
The Former Gamecock is coming home to the Carolinas after six years of leveling school and coming fresh off a Super Bowl championship with the Kansas City Chiefs. He will now be joining the Carolina Panthers Taylor has signed a one-year deal with them, per his agent.
Last year, he spent time with both the Texans and ended the year with the Chiefs and was part of the Super Bowl-winning roster prior to his Time with the Chiefs. Taylor started his career with the New Orleans Saints for two years and then spent two more years with the Indianapolis Colts. Taylor has been a solid rotation tackle in the league for six years, playing in 57 games and starting in two of them. He has 4.5 career sacks, 52 combustibles, 30 solos, 22 ASTs, and 7 TFL, with 14 QB hits and 2 fumble recoveries to his name in his young NFL career.
In college for the Gamecocks, Taylor played 36 games in four years, helping the Gamecocks close the gap on the line with his 6.5 tackles for loss for the Gamecocks and 87 total tackles, 50 assists, 37 total tackles, and his one career sack in his collegiate career for South Carolina. With his return home, gamecock fans will have something to look forward to on Sunday as Taylor is the 6th Gamecock on the roster, with the Panthers joining Jaycee Horn, Hayden Hurst, Shi Smith, Josh Vann, and Damiere Byrd. There is lots to be excited about if you are a Gamecock fan who pulls for the Carolina Panthers.
