South Carolina football saw the departure of three tight ends from the program this off-season, leaving a hole at a position that was previously considered to be at a surplus. With Nate Adkins out of eligibility and Jaheim Bell and Austin Stogner entering the transfer portal, the starting role at the TE position is up for grabs, and transfer Tight End Trey Knox could become that guy.

Even though he is 6'5, Knox moves with the agility and speed of a receiver five inches shorter than him. This height and speed combo make him nearly unguardable, especially when he gets downfield in space. Not to mention his catch radius is off the charts. He frequently catches passes that no one else on the field would be able to catch, often making him a threat in the end zone.

Knox is yet to eclipse 400 yards in a season with Arkansas, where he played the last four seasons. However, it feels almost inevitable South Carolina unlocks his potential. His size, combined with athleticism, fits too well in South Carolina's system for him not to not to have his best season to date.

Knox has shown flashes of excellence in his four-year career, but his opportunities were too limited to understand what he is capable of truly. Considering Knox's experience and South Carolina's startling lack of tight ends on the roster heading into 2023, his becoming a key part of the offense feels almost certain.
